I’ve been tootling up and down the west coast of Victoria in my campervan for the past week, storing up some beauty before the working year begins:

Wye River had a bad summer. But still, beauty persists.

We named this echidna Eric because it alliterates. Tame as all get-out.

The view from the balcony of the lovely old house i stayed in at Wye River.

David Bowie dies and i was bereft. No music machine in the old beach house so i back the van up to the house and played Diamond Dogs on the car stereo LOUD.

Pink things began appearing everywhere – starting with this Wye River sunset.

Pink seaweed down the coast at Airey’s Inlet.

Pink orchids on the bush walk.

Another Eric at Airey’s Inlet! (or the same one, moving fast?)

Strange hieroglyphics on the sand.

Bush n beach.

My portal back to the working life. Happy summer, everyone.
