About Sian

Sian Prior has had twenty years experience as a journalist and broadcaster in radio, television, print and online, specialising in reporting on the arts and popular culture. She has been a newspaper columnist, opinion writer, theatre and opera critic and a book reviewer.

Sian is also a professional media consultant, a published short fiction writer, an event host, curator and public speaker, and a lecturer at secondary and tertiary educational institutions.

She has a second career as a musician and recording artist (singer, clarinettist and choral conductor), and a producer of concerts in venues ranging from jazz clubs and concert halls through to building sites.

In her spare time, Sian is an active board member of several community and arts organisations.
